Couples really need to relax and spend a nice quite time together from time to time but with the business of everyday life, this is not always possible. Nevertheless as busy as you might be you simply can’t go on working yourself to a frazzle. A cruise down the river is just what you need enjoy a short break and a little time alone with your significant other.

River Cruises in Europe

Europe is at the top of the list for river cruises simply because here you have so many different options to choose from. The Rhine, Seine, and Danube Rivers are just a few of the options available for you to enjoy a nice river cruise. Many of the rivers in Europe pass thru several different countries so you enjoy seeing new places along the way. If you choose to do some river cruising in Europe then you should definitely check out the AmaWaterways cruise company which has a large fleet of ships that cruise a number of Europe’s rivers. With this company you there are 3 nights, week-long, and even a 27 day romantic river cruise to choose from.

River Cruises in Africa

The continent of Africa is certainly not the first place that comes to mind when you are thinking about taking a river cruise but it is in fact a great choice. As a matter of fact you can turn your river cruise into an all out safari as you float past a wide variety of species along the shore. For an all out romantic cruise you should book a stay on the Zambia Queen which will take you on a luxury safari down the Chobe River bordering Botswana and Nambia.

River Cruises in Asia

Anyone who has been to Asia will agree that it is a land full of adventure and sights to behold. With a Asian river cruise you can experience the unique culture of the area while at the same time enjoying a relaxing and romantic break. The Yangtze River and the Mekong River are just two of the beautiful rivers on the continent of Asia. There are different cruise lines to choose from if you decide to take a river cruise on the Mekong River depending on where you start. A cruise on this river can take you anywhere from Vietnam to Laos and thru other Asian countries such as China and Thailand.

River Cruises in South America

The thing that makes a South American river cruise unique is definitely the exotic tropical environment and all the beautiful scenery you will float past on your journey. In all reality there is probably no river in the area that is better known than the Amazon River which happens to be a great choice for river cruises. There are several small cruise lines that will take you on a unique and romantic Amazon cruise including the SeaDream Yacht Club and Aqua Expeditions.

River Cruises in North America

Although North America is last on the list of amazing places to experience a river cruise it is in no way less romantic than any of the others. To name a few, the Columbia and Mississippi Rivers are great options for a romantic river cruise and Hudson River in New York and the St. Lawrence in Canada are a couple more great choices.

Take a river cruise along with the love of your life to enjoy the relaxing break you deserve and a chance to chill out a bit and spend some quality time together.

Addis Ababa is Ethiopia’s capital that acts as the heart of the country. In the city are headquarters of many organizations and agencies.  The city has a rich history and culture which are evident despite the direction it is taking towards modernization.

The city of Addis Ababa offers an array of beautiful buildings and commercial centres for visitors and tourists. The city’s historic landmarks include museums while its modernity is seen partly in malls and centres. Addis Ababa welcomes visitors and wants them to see for themselves the wonderful historical sites and the modern structures and establishments it offers.

Structures and Establishments

The Addis Ababa Museum collects and displays exhibits and other items that depict the history and heritage of Addis Ababa.  The museum also aims to show the growth and development of the city and its future progress in terms of social, political, and economic aspects.  The museum is located in the first and oldest building of the city, owned by one of the warlords during the time of Emperor Menelik II.

The museum’s exterior is of quality and its architectural design is unique. It has eight sections with materials exhibiting each stage of the development of the city. There is a room that displays the first telephone brought to Ethiopia from Italy by RasMakonnen in 1890.

The Dembel city centre is a large western style mall, in which around 123 retail spaces are available for retail. The Dembel mall is one of the first to open up on western style modernization, with about 12 storey tall structure and having a contemporary architectural style. The modern design of the facade and interior is part of the construction boom of the country for which most of the buildings are of modern contemporary theme.

Mountains and Parks

Beyond its structures, Addis Ababa has beautiful natural sights for visitors to enjoy. Take for instance Mount Entoto which is the highest mountain overlooking the city.  Mount Entoto belongs to the Entoto mountain chain, levelling 3,200 meters beyond sea level.  It is a historical place with Menelik II residing and building his palace on it, when he came from Ankober and discovered Addis Ababa.

The city is considered a holy mountain that holds several monasteries. It is also noted as the place of a number of celebrated churches such as Saint Raguel and Saint Mary. The mountain is heavily covered by eucalyptus trees that were brought from Australia during the time of Emperor Menelik II while most of the planting happened during Emperor Haile Sillasie’s empire.  The mountain forest provides an important supply of firewood and building material in earlier years.

The Bihere Tsige Recreation Park is a popular destination for garden weddings and other popular occasions. The park offers grandeur of natural environment with the potential of interacting with the locals like in the case of a wedding ceremony.

The Bihere Tsige Recreation Park is a 400 square kilometre long park that is near a valley creek bed. The beautiful scenery of wooded park is astonishing to see along with many species of birds which visit and make the park their home. The amazing display of fauna in a natural setting is ideal for picture taking as a souvenir.

A souk is an open-air marketplace. Historically, souks were held outside of cities at areas where incoming caravans stop for merchants to display their goods for sale.  Souks extend their function beyond being markets for buying and selling goods, into major festivals involving many social and cultural activities. Later, due to the significance of the marketplace and the growing cities, the places for souks shifted to urban areas. Marrakech in Morocco is famous for these souks or markets.

The Shopping and Sights

The shopping in souk markets is not the high-street-style with air conditioned shops or malls where everything needed is under one roof, elevators to ride, or escalators to take.  Instead, going to a souk is a journey in itself, a discovery trip, and an entertainment holiday.  Wandering the whole day, pursuing which alley looks enticing, and entering the shop that takes one’s interest.  Getting lost is all part of the activity until Djemaa el Fnaa of Marrakech is in sight.  Being cautious is always part of life so other than this, one must enjoy shopping.

Mosque and Medersa

There is far more to the souk than shopping.  Heading north and can be found the Marrakech’s monuments: the Ali Ben Youssef mosque and medersa.  Like other mosques in Morocco, this one is closed to non-Muslims, but the attached university or medersa is open to guests.  This structure was built during the most delicate period of the Moroccan architecture in 1565. Its intricate plaster work and fine zellij glazed tiles are fantastic.  The tiny courtyards can accommodate up to 900 students, a number bigger than the largest of the colleges of Oxford or Cambridge, even today.

The Almoravid

Not far from the medersa is a tiny elegant building with zigzag battlements and arcaded domes. It is austere looking on the exterior but the interior is a luxury, the Almoravid qubba, the only edifice left intact from the time of Almoravid in the twelfth century.  The decoration is profound, with scallop shells, palm branches, pine cones, and acanthus leaves; the plasterwork illuminates patterns of light and shade. The qubba and medersa give visitors just a few moments of shade and relative stillness; then it’s back to the full packed streets of the souk.

Dying Souks

And finally, at the end of the souk are the dirty trades, filling up vats and tanning. Huge vats of stinking liquid, whole animal skins moving around, and loudly colored dyes all make up the process of dying fabric or leather to be made into scarves, hand bags, and other leather works. Dying is making wet the fiber to be dyed by mixing up the dye solution in a dye pot, adding the fiber and letting it soak, bringing the dye solution slowly up to the temperature of hot tap water, adding vinegar, and holding at that temperature; and then slowly bringing the dye solution to a full simmer for a period of time. The last step is letting the fabric to cool slowly in the dye solution; then washing this when it is completely cooled.

There’s no shelter in the dying souk area from the burning sun and the tanners work with no shirts, only pants and often drenched at that. It’s a shocking sight that is far from the elegance of the finished products.  Yet to see this is to understand the culture of the people in Marrakech.

Like many Moroccan cities, Marrakesh is an old fortified city full of vendors and their stalls called the medina, lined up by modern neighborhoods, the most popular of which is Gueliz. Today Marrakech is one of the busiest cities in Africa and serves as a major tourist destination and economic centre. It’s interesting to learn what is in this city that attracts tourists and what is unique about it.

Tourism

Tourism is strongly promoted by the reigning Moroccan monarch, Mohammed VI, with the objective of doubling the number of tourists coming to Morocco by 2020.  Real estate development and hotel industry in Marrakesh have grown dramatically in the 21st century despite the economic recession.  A number of French celebrities own properties in the city. Marrakesh has the largest traditional market in Morocco with 18 souks selling items from Berber carpets to modern electronics.  A significant number of the population primarily sells its crafts or products to tourists.

The Ménara International Airport  serves tourists while the Marrakesh railway station connects the city to Casablanca and northern Morocco. Marrakesh has several schools and universities, including Cadi Ayyad University. Several Moroccan football clubs are located there too like the Najm de Marrakech, Mouloudia de Marrakech, the KAC Marrakech and Chez Ali Club de Marrakech. The Marrakesh Street Circuit is home to the World Touring Car Championship, the FIA Formula Two Championship and  the Auto GP World Series.

Festivals

Festivals are celebrated in Marrakesh and throughout the country; some of them are observed as national holidays while others are of Islamic celebrations.  Cultural festivals as observed that are being held in Marrakesh comprise the National Folklore Festival, the Berber Festival, and the Marrakech Festival of Popular Arts in which a number of famous Moroccan artists and musicians participate.  The International Film Festival of Marrakech, which dreams to be the North African version of the Cannes Film Festival, was started in 2001.  The festival, which features over 100 films from around the world yearly, has allured Hollywood stars like Martin Scorsese, Francis Ford Coppola, Susan Sarandon, Roman Polanski, Jeremy Irons, and many other European, Indian, and Arabic film stars. The Marrakech Bienniale was founded in 2004 by Vanessa Branson as a cultural festival in various disciplines such as cinema, video, visual arts, architecture, literature, and performing arts.

Cuisines

Garnished by orange, lemon and olive groves, the city’s culinary features are heavily spiced and rich but not hot. The use of various preparations of Ras el hanout, a blend of dozens of spices which include ash berries, cinnamon, chilli, grains of paradise, nutmeg, turmeric, and monk’s pepper,. The tanija marrakshia, a local tajine is a specialty of the city and the symbol of its cuisine. Tajines can be prepared with beef or lamb, with fruits, vegetables and spices, including cumin, saffron, turmeric, ras el hanout, and peppers. The meal is prepared in a tangia pot and cooked slowly with steam. Another version of tajine includes vegetables and chickpeas seasoned with flower petals. Tajines can also be basted with a Moroccan ghee that has a flavor like that of blue cheese.

Chicken, shrimp, and lemon-filled briouats are another traditional specialty of Marrakesh. Rice is cooked with saffron, raisins, spices, and almonds, while couscous may have added vegetables. A pastilla is a filo-wrapped pie with minced chicken or pigeon that has been prepared with cinnamon, almonds, spices and sugar for the stuffing.  Harira soup in Marrakesh usually has lamb with a mixture of chickpeas, vermicelli, lentils, and tomato paste, seasoned with coriander, parsley, and spices.  The desserts of Marrakesh include cheesecake with dates.chebakia sesame spice cookies, or tartlets of filo dough with dried fruit.

Whether you’re looking for a holiday destination to amaze your brand-new partner, or you’re searching for a fantasy honeymoon location, or you are remembering your twentieth wedding anniversary, listed below are 5 cities where intimacy abounds.

Paris, France

It can be cliche, however, no one can deny the intimacy and romance that Paris provides. What’s more romantic than a kiss on top the Eiffel Tower, a stroll down the beautiful streets of Paris, consuming croissants in a cafe or enjoying delicious French wines at a private table with your loved one. No matter what you choose, it’s hard to not get cozy here.

Venice, Italy

Italy is definitely promoted among the top romantic nations, and Venice definitely tops the list. With it’s fantastic waterway connections, romantic gondolier rides or moonlit serenades by authentic Italian musicians, it rates up there as one of the most attractive cities in Italy. All this included with fine Italian cuisine and delicious wines and eateries, you will never be disappointed in a trip here.

Las Vegas, Nevada

You might think Las Vegas is the king of tacky but in reality it’s an awesome place to have a fun and intimate time with your spouse. The action never stops in this city with Elvis impersonators, luxurious hotels, more lights and bling than you can handle, and enough food, drinks and shows to make you combust, you are sure to have a great time. Vegas is a great place for both of you to be able to let loose and not worry about normal responsibilities, actually, being irresponsible is encouraged in this city! So pop the champagne, put on your hottest outfits and watch the intimacy explode on the hottest strip in the world.

Discovery Bay, Jamaica

Island vacations are the best for providing intimate situations. Clear blue seas, white sandy beaches, delicious cocktails, tantalizing foods, hot sun and tanned bodies; it’s the perfect recipe for romance to fly.  Dance the night away to local musicians on steel drums, feed each other fresh fruits or go get a sensual couples massage together. No matter what you do, an island vacation releases sparks you may not have felt in awhile.

Victoria Falls, Zambia

Take your love out to the wild in Africa. Victoria Falls, named for the late Queen Victoria of England, is a great place to keep things steamy. Every once in a while, there rises within us a desire to get away, far from the noise and hustle of our complicated modern lives. We spend most of our time living in an environment where everything is man made..Our homes, our work places, even our holiday destinations are often just a change of scenery; swapping one concrete jungle for another.

We are plugged in all the time, online and accessible to the entire world. It can get to the point where you simply want to grab your partner by the hand and run, be free, leave all the chaos behind. Indeed, many couples today, particularly the ones that live and work in cities, are looking for a vacation from their vacations, so to speak. And so they travel Into the Wild.

Picture a beautiful hut out in the wilderness, you and your special someone sitting in the lap of nature, cosily cuddling by the fire, listening to the sounds of the jungle that envelops you on all sides. This is the sort of experience modern couples are looking for- an adventure out of the ordinary, and that’s exactly what you’ll find at these jungle getaways.

Bandhavgarh National Park, India

Located in the heart of the country, Bandhavgarh is famous the world over as the home of the great Bengal Tiger and for its spectacular natural setting. Large concentrations of these majestic animals roam free among rocky hills and lush green valleys. Visit between March and April for a chance to see bears, deer, leopards, birds and the King of the Jungle.

The Cloud Forests, Guatemala

High altitude rainforests that are veiled by huge banks of low lying clouds, these jungle resorts will make you and your partner feel like you’ve entered into a slice of heaven, where you are literally, walking among the clouds. There’s also huge biodiversity, several endangered species of plants and animals call these forests home.

Masai Mara Safari, Kenya

Best known for the great wildebeest migration and the friendly Masai tribesmen, the Masai Mara safari is perfect for couples that enjoy wildlife, and lots of it. The migration happens between August and November, but the Masai Mara has plenty of other attractions all year: lions, cheetahs, leopards, giraffes and sometimes elephants, all set against a breathtaking background and romantic golden sunsets.

Adventure Tour, Peru

If you are an active couple, a trek through the ecological wonderland of Peru is just the thing for you. Hike through lush mountain valleys, with the endangered Andean Condor gliding overhead. Cross the great Lake Titicaca, walk through the heart of the ancient Inca empire, and complete your journey at the legendary Machu Picchu.

Surfing in Costa Rica

Slip into your bathing suit and head to the beautiful white sand beaches which lie on the outskirts of the jungles of Costa Rica, where you’ll find some of the best waves on the planet. Anyone can surf here, even first timers, and the beaches aren’t as crowded as other popular surfing destinations. Step back and enjoy the fabulous view of the horizon, as you and your partner watch the sun set into the sea.

They say that sometimes life beats movies, but nevertheless, motion pictures can feed our vivid imagination and they can leave us wanting to relive the famous scenes which have touched our hearts. Couples who love both movies and globetrotting can be inspired from the following movies and locations.

Casablanca

The 1942 classic movie “Casablanca” starring Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman is the most romantic movie of all times. Humphrey Bogart plays Rick Blaine and Rick s cafe is an important setting in Casablanca. Many scenes are shot there, including Rick s reunion with the love of his life, Ilsa Laszlo, played by Ingrid Bergman. Casablanca is not only the title of the film, but it is also a city in Morocco. Couples who love this romantic drama can recreate the famous scene from “Rick s Cafe Americain” . The chosen location to reenact the romantic scene should be a jazz bar or club in the city of Casablanca. You can even ask the band to play the famous song, Rick and Ilsa s song “As time goes by” and you can even utter the famous lines said by Ilsa -” Play it again, Sam” and by Rick -”Of all the joints in all the towns in all the world, she walks into mine.”

Love Affair

The 1994 movie “Love affair” starring Warren Beatty and his wife, Annette Bening and Katherine Hepburn as “Aunt Ginny” is a remake after the 1939 movie with the same name with Irene Dunne. Couples who have been touched by this movie can be inspired from it to recreate for themselves the scene on the exotic island . The characters landed accidentally on this island, because their plane which was headed to Sydney, Australia had to land forcefully. . The scene on this peceful and serene island in the Pacificis very romantic, because this is the location where they bond and begin to have feeling for each other. Couples can choose any exotic island near Australia to give a boost to their relationship so that it can improve and flourish to the maximum. Although the characters promise each other to meet , that scene never happens, because she suffers an accident and becomes paralyzed.

The Notebook

“The Notebook” is a movie based on the Nicholas Sparks s novel with the same name. The movie stars are Ryan Gosling, who plays “Noah Calhoun” and Rachel McAdams who plays “Allie Hamilton”. The characters fall in love at a carnival on Seabrook Island, in South Carolina. The most romantic scene in the movie, which couples can choose to recreate, occurs in an old, abandoned house in the same location, which Noah ends up buying especially for Allie. Couples can find a secluded house on one of the “sea islands” in South Carolina, such as Seabrook, where they can strengthen their relationship. The location is 20 miles inland, between Savannah, Georgia and Charleston, South Carolina.

Breakfast at Tiffany’s

“Breakfast at Tiffany’s” is a film from 1961 starring Audrey Hepburn as “Holly Golightly” and George Pepperd as “Paul Varjak”. Holly is an extravagant cafe society girl who, although she loves Paul, decides to leave for Brazil. Paul had engraved the ring from Doc Golightly at Tiffany& Co. on Fifth Avenue , but he never manages to give it to her as a present. The famous and final scene of the movie occurs when he releases her cat and emerges from the yellow cab to toss the ring into her lap and to tell Holly to analyze her life. Together they go in search of the cat and they rediscover their relationship. The scene can be recreated by couples who loved the film, somewhere on the Fifth Avenue in New York, on a rainy day, with or without a cat. Rain is a spectacular force of nature which brings couples together and strengthens their bond and mutual understanding.

When Harry Met Sally

This movie s characters meet when they share a cab to New York City and then they keep bumping into each other every five years, in a New York airport and bookstore. The famous and classic scene when Sally fakes an orgasm and which was shot at the deli Katz’s Delicatessen in Manhattan is the most memorable and funniest scene of all times. Couples who are more audatious and outspoken can give the scene a try, not so obvious though, and even reenact the reply “I will have what she is having”.

Other inspiring scenes from movies which adventurous couples can recreate include the breathtaking scene atop Empire State Building from the 1993 romantic drama “Sleepless in Seattle” starring Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks, where they can take their relationship to another level or going on a cruise ship to reenact the scenes from “Titanic”.

Christmas is just days away and you are racking your brains thinking up some cool gift ideas for your partner. Here we list some practical and different gift ideas that would make ideal presents for people who love taking off to different destinations at the drop of a hat.

Travel Kits For Toiletries Or A Passport Pouch

Let’s start with the very simple and mundane. A travel kit for toiletries is such a essential item that keeps all of the we need neatly organized and readily accessible. A toiletry kit that has space for tooth brushes, tooth paste, soap, shampoo, razors, shaving kit, sewing kit, extra batteries, medicines, torch and other bits and pieces is a great gift for people who make many trips in a year. In fact many folks who travel frequently have these always readily stocked and packed to take off at a moment’s notice.

A pouch to keep your passport, wallet and airline tickets is also great idea for a gift to a travel mad person. They will truly appreciate these items when it’s such a struggle juggling luggage, backpacks and passports at the customs or immigration counter at a remote location of world say Perth or Jakarta.

Sturdy Backpacks

Backpacks can never be a bad gift for partners who travel a lot. There are backpacks of different sizes and capacity suitable for travel of different durations. Check out the pack that they already have and pick one of different size. So, they have a bag whether its for a weekend or a whole week. Make sure it has lot of pouches for different items to be stored away when moving from place to place.

Books

Books are great traveling companions especially on long trips. These makes great gifts for people who love to read in addition to traveling. A book helps keep boredom away when you are cooped up in an airplane for hours on end. Choose books that your partner likes to read about. Maybe it is about the destination he/she is dreaming of visiting for long. For example if your partner has always dreamed about visiting Egypt then books on history of Egyptian Pharaohs or their Pyramids can make for interesting Christmas gift ideas. If its Paris they dream about, then books about places to visit and things to do in Paris will make a great gift idea.

Trekking Poles

If your partner loves trekking or backpacking then trekking poles are a gift idea that will be appreciated. It makes walking or trekking on rough and dangerous terrain easy and less stressful on knees and joints. There are range of trekking poles available in different types of light-weight materials. Research well and pick a model that has a good grip, is of the right length and suited for the type of trekking/hiking that your partner does.

iPod/iPad/Laptop

Electronic gadgets are always great for Christmas gift ideas. If you are flying to the Bahamas or Hawaii what would you like as a travel companion? Many people would readily choose an iPod or an iPad. These make traveling fun. Download thousands of songs and enjoy music for hours on your iPod. Read books, play games or work on your iPad. Laptop is another useful travel companion. You can watch movies or keep in touch with friends and family by updating them about your travel status on your Facebook account.

Camera

Technology is rapidly evolving and every year new and improved cameras with large image clarity, improved features and better picture quality are being made. What better Christmas gift idea than a travel worthy camera that is compact, is easy to use and simple to pack. Buy extra batteries and extra storage memory cards. These will be invaluable when you are traveling and don’t have access to electricity or computers.

Turkey has always been a top destination for tourists seeking sun, sea and sights but it is now also becoming a popular place to visit on a cruise. The long beautiful coastline provides a wonderful selection of interesting and beautiful places for people to visit.

Marmaris in South West Turkey is the country’s biggest beach resort. It is also a sensational stop for many cruises, allowing passengers to stop and enjoy the traditional hammams (steam baths). The beautiful town on Dalyan is nearby where many hundreds of years of history are on show, with Lycian tombs and the Ancient Kaunos theatre being great attractions. Dalyan beach plays host to endangered loggerhead turtles, protected by wooden stakes which mark out their nesting grounds.

Thomson Holidays offer Cruise and Stay holidays, which combines a week cruising with a week staying in a Dalaman hotel or apartment. The cruise part of the holiday has three different options: Egypt and the Holy Land, Ancient Wonders or Crimean Discovery. These offer an unmissable introduction to the Turkish cruising destinations along with other key cities in the region.

Alanya is an ancient town which is believed to have been inhabited since pre-historic times. The town was given to Cleopatra as a present from Mark Anthony in 44BC. For modern day visitors, there is plenty to do and see. The pretty harbour is surrounded by a wide assortment of restaurants and cafes, where you can sit and relax between your sight seeing trips. The striking Citadel with its hexagonal Red Tower is in the centre of the port. One great place to visit is the Damlatas Cave, where stalagmites and stalactites have formed over the years to create magical rocky formations. Thomson Celebration’s Portrait of the Past cruise visits Alanya as part of its voyage around the Eastern Mediterranean and the Black Sea.

The Blue Cruise in Bodrum is another interesting holiday idea. The term “Blue Cruise” derives from a Turkish book by Azra Erhat and usually refers to a sailing holiday in the Turkish riviera. Many companies offer cruises on traditional Turkish gulets (sailing boats) or it is possible to charter a yacht for a dream holiday with a group of friends or family.

Kusadasi is a delightful seaside town on the Aegean coast, where the silky sands tempt many tourists to chill out and enjoy the turquoise blue waters. For more of an active trip, the town of Ephesus is nearby. Ephesus was the site of Temple of Artemis, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. It has a colourful history as an Ancient Greek city, then later as a key Roman city. Many ancient ruins remain, including the largest collection of Roman ruins in the Eastern Mediterranean.

So if you have never ventured past the beautiful beaches of the Turkish coast, then you may have missed out. Turkey’s rich and varied history has left many spectacular sights that can be easily visited from a cruise trip and are sure to enrich your holiday experience.

If you are looking for a romantic vacation with your partner, it will be your supreme desire to go to a destination that offers you the most entertaining and exciting activities. You will love to spend your time at a place that is endowed with natural and scenic beauty along with some entertaining activities.

Before selecting any destination, you need to consider the following aspects.

  1. Is the place appropriate for romantic vacation.
  2. What the place has for its tourists.
  3. The luxuries and comforts of the selected destination.
  4. Major tourist attractions.

So the above mentioned aspects will help you a lot in judging whether the place is right for you or not.

It is quite apparent that couples travel to the most beautiful and alluring destinations to have a perfect vacation. To make your trip ideal, you must avoid traveling to the destinations that are mentioned below.

1. Harare in Zimbabwe

This city has been voted as the world’s worst to live in. Recent political turmoil has made it a dangerous place for travelers from around the globe. Safety (or the lack thereof) is the most important issue that is associated with the country. Being a corrupted, lawless and violent country, it is the worst option for romantic couples as well as for individuals.

2. Afghanistan

Do you think couples travel to Afghanistan?

Being an unstable country, it is not the relevant place to have fun filled vacation. The ongoing civil war has become a serious threat for travelers. Cases of kidnapping and killing are very common in the country. Moreover, the country is not equipped with comforts and recreational activities that you can enjoy to have a memorable time.

3. Iran

Do you think couples travel to Iran, a place where they are not allowed to drink alcohol and dancing is forbidden?

Alcohol is strictly banned in this country. Even, the tourists are not allowed to consume alcohol. Moreover, the females are not allowed to wear western outfits. If any individual, whether male or female, tries to violate the rules of the country, they receive harsh beatings and even death penalties. The place is not the correct choice for the couples who are living in western countries and who love alcohol.

4. Jurez, Mexico

It is impossible that couples would want to travel to the “Murder Capital of the world”?

Jurez is the city where Mexico meets United States of America. There are many people in the city who are living below poverty line. However, the main issue that the city is facing is the agitation, drug addiction and lack of order. Due to the long instability, the city has very low standard of the living and nothing for tourists.

5. West Point, Monrovia, Liberia

Do couples travel to a place where toilets are scarce?

The country is so poor that it is not able to fulfill the basic needs of the people residing in the country. Teenagers are addicted to drugs and prostitution is very common. If you travel to this place you will not get fresh water or air. Which are pretty important things to have for a romantic vacation, no?
