The following Terms and Conditions
apply to our services and the usage of this website
Booking Procedures
Once you have chosen your travel arrangements please read the conditions of travel as your reservation is subject to the terms listed below. A contract is entered into once Tours For 2 receives your signed reservation form and deposit and we accept and confirm the booking.
Payment
A deposit of 30% for your program is to be paid upon acceptance of your booking by Tours For 2. The balance of the cost must be paid 60 days before you travel. Payment must be made to Tours For 2 in Santa Fe, NM. If the final balance is not received on time Tours For 2 reserves the right to treat the booking as cancelled by you and to levy cancellation charges. In the event of travel arrangements requested within 60 days of departure date, the full amount must be paid upon booking.
Alterations by You
If after the commencement of your travel you request any amendment to your arrangements or accommodation, Tours For 2 and their agents will do their best to implement it, but we cannot guarantee that it will be possible. In the event of such an amendment being made you will be liable for any cancellation/retention charges that may be levied for the previously booked service and for any costs incurred by Tours For 2 and their agents in attempting to secure any revised arrangement.
Cancellation by You
Should you wish to cancel your travel arrangements, you must notify Tours For 2 as soon as possible. As a rule, the closer to your scheduled departure date a cancellation occurs, the less likely it is that you will be able to receive a full return of your deposit. Since most of our tours involve such things as domestic airline tickets within the countries of travel, hotel bookings or other arrangements where full or partial refunds to Tours For 2 are not possible, it is often necessary for us to retain a portion of your payments so that we do not incur a loss through a cancellation. We understand that cancellations may occur for various reasons beyond your control and we are not anxious to penalize you in any way. As a rule, we will make every attempt to refund to you as much of the money you have paid in as possible.
We advise you to look into trip cancellation insurance before making firm plans. As a rule, trips cancelled for reasons of health or various family emergencies which can be documented are covered by such policies. However, simply changing your mind is generally not covered. Tours For 2 can offer you trip cancellation insurance. Just check the appropriate box on the registration form below.
Bearing all this mind, these are our guidelines on cancellations. We will do our best to work with you on an individual basis and return as much as we can without incurring any financial loss on our part. We understand that after having made a booking you may, for any reason whatsoever, decide to cancel your trip. We will try to return as much as possible of your deposit without incurring any fiancial losses on our part. However, there are times when, for example, we have made an airline booking for you on a domestic flight and all or part of the payment for that booking is non-refundable. In that case, we would have to keep part of your deposit or payment to compensate us for any loss.
- 90 days or more before departure a $100 fee may be retained by Tours For 2
- 90 to 61 days before departure 20% of total trip cost may be retained
- 60 to 31days before departure 50% of total trip cost may be retained
- 30 to days before departure 100% of total trip cost may be retained
We cannot give any allowance or refund for meals, rooms, excursions, etc. not taken, when these are included in the price of the program. No refund can be made on lost, mislaid or destroyed travel tickets or vouchers.
Alterations Made to the Scheduled Program
Our tours may be planned several months in advance and changes may thus be unavoidable, due to circumstances amounting to “force majeure” or similar reasons beyond our control, such as delays in departures, on travel arrangements caused by technical problems, weather conditions, over-booking or closure of a hotel, strikes, riots, decisions by State Governments or Tourist Organizations altering the itinerary, the duration of time spent in a city or even omitting a city or part of the itinerary due to the local situation. In such cases we will offer comparable alternative arrangements. If any of the circumstances listed above occur during the course of the tour, we reserve the right to alter the scheduled itinerary accordingly and no compensation will be paid. We will make every reasonable effort to provide you with the booked tour arrangements but minor changes may occur. If they are significant we shall, if possible, inform you or your travel agent before departure. Again, we will offer comparable alternative arrangements. Please note that Tours For 2 will not be liable to reimburse additional expenses undertaken by the client in preparation for the tour. These include and are not limited to international tickets, used mileage awards and fees, cost of visas, immunizations, shots, etc.
Tour Prices
Tours prices are based on U.S. dollars (unless otherwise noted) and exchange rates in effect at the present time. They are subject to variation if there are increases due to governmental action, additional taxes, exchange rates, increases in scheduled airfare or increases in fuel surcharges. Any increase in the original tour price will be reported to you at least 90 days before departure or when you make your booking, whichever is earlier. If you make your booking within 90 days of departure the surcharge will be included in your invoice. Tours For 2 will absorb an amount equivalent to two percent of the tour price. Any surcharge will not exceed 10 percent of the listed tour price. If you settle the final balance by the due date we will absorb any price increases after that due date. In return for this commitment, we are unable to make any refund or reduce any other costs should the value of the U.S. dollar improve against the currencies used.
Visas and Your Responsibilities
U.S. citizens require a passport with at least six months validity beyond completion of travel. Visas may be required and we will furnish the relevant details after receipt of your booking deposit and confirmation of your booking. Non U.S. citizens should consult with the appropriate consulates and embassies.
It is the responsibility of the individual traveler to secure the proper documentation prior to joining the tour. It is the responsibility of the traveler to become informed about the most current travel advisories and warnings by referring to the U.S. State Department’s travel website at www.travel.state.gov or by phone at 1-888-407-4747. In the event of an active State Department Travel Warning against travel to the specific destination location/s of the trip, should the traveler still choose to travel, notwithstanding any travel advisory or warning, the traveler assumes all risk of personal injury, death or property damage that may arise out of the events like those advised or warned against.
Our Responsibilities
Tours For 2 makes arrangements with airlines, hotels and other independent parties to provide you with the travel services you purchase. We do not own or operate any of the accommodation, transport or other facilities used in connection with our tours. We therefore cannot accept liability for negligence of the staff of these organizations. These parties are independent suppliers over whom we have no direct control. Tours For 2 is not liable in the event of any failure by any person or company to render any transportation, accommodation or other travel service to be provided on the journeys, or for expenses incurred due to delays caused by weather, strikes, war, civil disturbances, natural disasters, flight delays, government actions, mechanical failures or any acts of God.
Tours For 2 cannot assume any responsibility for flight delays, cancellations or missed connections and is not liable for any expenses or consequences resulting therefrom, and such expenses shall be borne by the client. When you travel with an airline the Conditions of Carriage of that airline will apply. These conditions are the subject of International Agreements and may limit or exclude liability. The participant waives any claim against Tours For 2 for any damage to, or loss of, property, or injury to, or death of, due to any act, or negligence of any airlines, surface transportation companies, hotels or any person rendering any of the services or accommodations included. Tours For 2 cannot be held responsible for any claim, losses, damages for delay of baggage or other properties, inconvenience, loss of enjoyment, upset and disappointment, distress or frustrations, whether physical or mental, resulting from the act or omission of any party providing services. We do take all reasonable steps to insure that organizations providing services maintain standards, which are acceptable within the norm in each locality. All services are subject to the laws of the countries in which these services are rendered.
Payment for reservations on any Tours For 2 travel arrangements shall constitute consent to all the provisions in the Booking Conditions published herein and is binding on all travel participants.
